Warning: Dangerous Pills (PEP) |
|
BZP Pill Warning The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency has warned that selling BZP pills, containing benzylpiperazine, is illegal and vendors may face prosecution. To read more please click here.
Quick Strawberry Warning Warnings have been issued regarding a form of meth amphetamine called 'strawberry quick'. It is pink in colour and has a sweet taste to mask the associated bitter taste of amphetamine. The warning issued states that children have been admitted to A&E after eating this. These warnings have been distributed to at least one primary school in South Bucks. 'Strawberry Quick' does exist in the US and it is obviously worrying that it could be mistaken for a sweet by a young person. However, there is no evidence that this form of methamphetamine is being used in Bucks, or that any children have been admitted to A&E in Bucks. It appears that this is a warning that originated from the US and has now found its way to the UK. Even in the US there is uncertainty as to if this substance has been given to young people in school yards by dealers telling them that it is candy, as has been claimed in the distributed warnings. There is no current evidence that 'strawberry quick' exists in Bucks, but with the obvious cautionary message that young people should stay safe through not accepting anything from strangers.
